Andhra Pradesh Post office  Recruitment 2012-2013 notification issued for 431 Postal sorting  and Postal assistant vacancies.

Eligible and interested candidates need to submit the application form in prescribed format on or before 01-10-2012.

1) Postal Assistant

Number of posts: 362

Sections: General, 287, SBCO 31, MMS 1, X – SERVICE MAN 43.

2) Sorting Assistant

Number of posts: 69

Total Number of posts:431

Post Name: Postal Assistant,  Sorting Assistant posts  in Andhra Pradesh Post office Recruitment 2012

Age limit:

Candidates must have at least 18 years and   below 27 years as on 01-10-2012 for General category

5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST Candidates

3 years relaxation in upper age for OBC Candodates

10 years for PWD Candidates



Education qualifications required:

1.Candidates must have Intermediate/10+2/12 th class pass with first class marks or with 60 percent

Application fee:

1.General and OBC Candidates need to pay 200 Rupees for Examination fee and 50 rupees for Application fee

2.SC/ST Candidates no need to pay Examination fee. They have to pay only Application fee of 50 rupees  for Application form

Application forms  available at all All Head Post offices and identified Post offices in the Circles from 11-08-2012 to 25-09-2012.

Application: Rs .50 s to the head Post offices completed applications need to send via post.

Fees: Rs .200 to pay on the Head post Office.



Selection procedure:

Selection Process: Aptitude Test, Computer Skills Test (Typing).



SYLLABUS FOR POSTAL SORTING /ASSISTANT

Andhra Pradesh Postal circle Selection Process is based on the performance in Written exam(Aptitude test) and computer typing test.

Andhra Pradesh  Post office Syllabus has

General knowledge 25 marks

Reasoning ability 25 marks

English 25 marks

Maths 25 marks

total for 100 marks.

Each section having 25 marks for 25 questions.

Computer Typing Test Paper II:
You will be asked to type one passage of 450 words in English or 375 words in Hindi which has to be typed with a minimum spped of 30/20 wpm and the time given to complete the typing test will be 15 minutes. The Data Entry will be on figures and letters carries equal marks which has to be finished within 15 minutes.
Postal Assistant exam cut-off marks:
The minimum cut-off marks requrired from each part of aptitude test is as follows.
OC – 10 marks in each part and 40% in aggregate
SC/ST – 8 marks in each part and 33% in aggregate
OBC – 9 marks in each part and 38% in aggregate



How to Apply:

Applications should be purchased at Head Post offices and identified Post offices in the Circles. After filling it send to given address to reach on or before 01-10-2012 through Speed Post or Registered Post of India Post.
